christina roux

Born in Brooklyn, New York, Christina Roux grew up in Manhattan and the greater New England area. She has a B.A. in German and Political Science from New York University. She spent a year abroad studying political science at Heidelberg University in Germany and then another year abroad studying French at Strasbourg University in France. Her teaching degree is from the UW; she is certified in German, French, Language Arts and Social Studies.

Ms. Roux has been teaching for twelve years including Meridian Junior High in Kent and Washington Middle School in Seattle. She has been at Garfield for five years. Last semester she taught 10th Grade Language Arts, Creative Writing and Annual. She was the advisor for Open Mic and Chairman of the Technology Committee. Her hobbies are writing, running and stenciling. Her sons are Malcolm, age 3 and Eric, age 6.

Christina Roux is currently on leave in South Africa, studying for her Master's Degree.
