Emotion Literacy Advocates (ELA) is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization comprised of a group of generative artists and social activists in Seattle who came together at the turn of the millennium to further ELA's mission: to create learning forums for insight into emotion through language and the arts.

ELA's unique learning tools incorporate the language arts, theatre, music and science to address cultural and environmental issues with social-emotional awareness. Specially designed programs serve children and families through learning institutions, social service agencies and media outlets.

ELA offers an easy, fun and quick way for both professionals and citizen volunteers to support social-emotional learning with a singular synthesis of humor, panache, science smarts and arts.
